Law Enforcement

Course Description

The course provides students with preliminary training and exposure to a variety of job opportunities in the law enforcement field. Upon completion of the criminal justice program, students will have a working knowledge of the U.S. Constitution, criminal law, criminal procedures and its application to the various divisions of the criminal justice system.  Post-secondary education is available at Yakima Valley Community College Criminal Justice programs, Tech Schools, military, homeland security, and law enforcement training centers.

Sessions Offered: 8:00-10:30AM / 12:00-2:30PM

Length of Program: 1-2 years

Equivalency Credits: 1 credit PE / .25 credit Social Studies-History / .25 credit English

College Credits: Available to those who qualify

Jobs in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice are thriving. Since September 11th homeland security has stepped up the demand for law enforcement professionals.
