While in high school, I attended the Fashion Marketing class at YV-Tech. I learned valuable tools that helped me transition from high school into a college surrounding and pace. In high school I could never find what I really liked to do, that was until I took the Fashion Marketing class. I finally found my niche and Michelle helped me every step of the way. After graduating with my Associate of Arts degree in March of 2009, I worked as Assistant Manger at American Eagle in Yakima, and now I am working in Los Angeles at Kitson.
Thank you for everything,
Jennifer, former student - YV-TECH Fashion Marketing
If I gained anything from attending YV-TECH it was long lasting relationships and knowledge that has helped me with my career as an elementary teacher.
Maria, former student - YV-TECH Careers in Education
YV-TECH has taught us the value of hard work, dedication, and helped prepare us not just for college, but also to take the initiative in finding work right away.

I wanted to become a Nursing Assistant also known as an NAC; it was a great step for my future. I received a lot of hands on work in Lora's class, how to practice as a team, and how to become better at every skill.
Bobbie, former student - YV-TECH Nursing & Occupational Therapy
When I was younger, I always enjoyed working on anything with an engine and two or more wheels. When I heard about YV-TECH, I couldn't wait to start. Now I am working on my 3rd year with Firestone as SR. Technician with four ASE certifications.
Sean, former student - YV-TECH Automotive Technology
I was able to apply the knowledge and skills learned through YV-TECH's Fire Fighting program to make a positive difference in three individual's lives. If I had not learned these skills, I would probably have panicked myself and the outcome would have more than likely been tragically different. I would like to offer my THANKS to YV-TECH for allowing me to be part of such an important program.
Danielle, former Cadet Captain, YV-TECH Fire Fighting Program
YV-TECH was one of the best choices I could ever have made as a student in the Yakima Valley. It gave me amazing access to the equipment I needed to know to fulfill my career goals, and to a staff that was both knowledgeable and wonderfully supportive. The school gives every student a definite edge out in the working world.
Andrew, Lead A/V Editor, Product Development, Nintendo of America
The Automotive Technology program has given me the tools to be successful in non-traditional work.

What to Expect
This is the question that is on the minds of most students when they enroll at YV-TECH. Classes are an extension of the sending high school. We do not try to replicate the high school experience. We offer no athletic teams or extracurricular activities. We focus strictly on job-readiness training for a specific career interest. Programs sessions meet 150 minutes daily and we do not change or modify our instruction schedule. Every class… meets everyday … at the same time. Our Instuctors pride themselves on delivering an activity based instruction that is current to industry standards. You will not be bored at YV-TECH. Simply put…We learn by doing.
